CEO thanks supporters

Chief executive John Croot has thanked supporters for their patience and understanding following the suspension of ticket sales for the first two home fixtures of the season.

The decision was taken to suspend sales following the announcement this morning that plans to welcome back supporters to stadiums in England next month would be put on-hold.

Commenting on the development, John said: “It is unfortunate that we had to to suspend sales, but we were left with no choice following the news which came out this morning.

“It is desperately disappointing as we were all looking forward to welcoming fans back to the Technique Stadium as they are a vitally important part of the game. I also know how important football is to the local community.

“We do , however, need to ensure that it is safe for everyone to return to watching matches and we have been working hard to make the stadium a safe environment. We are working closely with the relevant authorities in the hope of reaching a satisfactory conclusion as soon as possible.”
