Christmas lights raise £1,000 for Ashgate Hospice

Steve and Janet Pollard decorated their home with Christmas lights and raised £1,000 for Ashgate Hospice!

In conjunction with Bridge Inn Blues, who provide travel to Chesterfield away matches, a cheque was presented to the chairman of North East Derbyshire District Council, Councillor Martin Thacker, whose appeal is in aid of the hospice.

Club’s mascot Chester was on hand to demonstrate appreciation for all that Bridge Inn Blues do in the community.

Councillor Thacker, who is also vice-chairman of the Spireites, said: “The festive spirit was generated by the Pollards and Bridge Inn Blues to ensure a very generous donation for a worthy cause.

“The Christmas decorations at St. Lawrence Avenue created a ‘feel good factor’. I am aware of the hard work and dedication invested by Steve and Janet to bring seasonal joy to others. I am grateful to them, Kimberley Pollard, Paul Goodwin and everyone at the Bridge Inn for their kindness and helping to raise funds for my Charity Appeal.”
