Cook wins Manager of the Month award

Cook receives the accolade after the Spireites won five from five in the National League during the month. That widened the gap at the top of the table to 16 points by the end of January after defeating Solihull Moors, Gateshead, Altrincham, Woking and Southend United.

Chesterfield scored 14 times in January – an average of 2.8 goals a game – while only two sides conceded less goals last month.

The Spireites go into this weekend’s game 22 points clear at the top of the table.
