Ex-Spireite Phil Picken will be alongside Phil Tooley on 1866 Sport today as co-commentator when the Spireites take on Oldham Athletic.
Picken played five seasons for the Spireites, first arriving on loan from Manchester United back in August 2005.
On 20 August 2005, he made his Chesterfield debut, in a 4–1 loss against today’s opponents. After a successful spell on loan at the club, the defender signed permanently in May 2006. He enjoyed four more seasons at Saltergate, before departing at the end of the 2009/10 season.
