Akwasi Asante dropped to the bench last time out. The striker will be hopeful he is deemed fit enough to regain his place in the starting XI.

Jim Kellermann has suffered a twisted hip and won’t be available for selection, while Gaving Gunning is also a doubt with a shin problem.

Manny Oyeleke will be assessed before the game and Joe Rowley is back in contention for a place in the squad.

On Aldershot

Aldershot spent six years in the Football League before being relegated back down to step five in 2013, where they have been ever since. Since falling back into the National League they have mounted three play-off campaigns, none of which have been successful in their end goal of returning to the Football League. Aldershot Town were due to be relegated as 21st-place finishers in the 2018/19 National League season but were reprieved from relegation as Gateshead were administratively relegated.

Last season Aldershot finished in eightth place, not too far behind the Spireites who finished in fifthth. Their top goalscorer last season was Harry Panayiotou, who is still with the club and could start against the Blues on Saturday.

One to watch

Lewis Kinsella is a wing-back who is renowned for his pace and consistency down the flank. He was awarded Man of the Match last time he faced the Spireites, after an impressive display. He has scored three goals in 22 appearances this season.
