James Rowe will look to play his strongest XI, but with the current injury crisis he will have limited options to choose from.

Jak McCourt came into the starting XI last weekend and will be hoping his performance was enough to cement his place in this weekend’s squad.

Jamie Grimes and Laurence Maguire will be fighting for places in the side, after Gavin Gunning was rested last weekend. He could be set to come straight back into the team.

Stefan Payne grabbed his first goal for the Blues last Saturday and will be hoping it will kick-start his season.

Nathan Tyson also scored in his first start of the season last weekend; he will be pushing for more game time in the coming weeks.

On Boreham Wood

Boreham Wood are an established National League side who have dreams of competing in the Football League. They are managed by Luke Gerrard, who made over 150 appearances for the club as a player, before being appointed as manager back in 2015. 

They knocked Blackpool FC out of the FA Cup in 2017, before being beaten in the second round by Coventry City. Last season they also made it into the third round of the FA Cup, earning a tie with Millwall.

This season Boreham Wood will be hoping they can win promotion from the National League for the first time in their history. 

One to watch

Scott Boden is a renowned goal-scorer in the National Leaguea nd the striker is of course no stranger to Chesterfield, having made over 160 appearances for the Spireites. This season he has scored two goals in seven appearances.
