Matchday collection for Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trust

Saturday’s matchday collection has been organised to raise funds for the Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trust.

The organisation was recently launched as a registered charity in honour of the former Chesterfield player, whose life was cruelly cut short in January 2020 at the age of 25.

Outlining the aims of the charity, Jordan’s fiancee, Kelly Bossons, explained : “We decided to think about what Jordan would want to do. He was obviousy very sport-orientated so we decided that we’d focus the charity on sport.

“We wanted to remove any boundaries that may stop any children in the future being able to reach their potential in areas of sport because of financial reasons.

“We have a grant process and we support clubs as well as individuals. In the last week alone, we had nearly £30,000-worth of grant applications submitted to us.

“We need to have the funds to be able to award the grants so we’re just trying to do as much fundraising as possible.”

Team Ernie will be helping with the collection on Saturday. Please look out for the collection tins and give generously!
