Tuesday night’s planned pre-season fixture at Matlock Town has been called-off after a member of Chesterfield’s first-team backroom staff tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).
Discussions are taking place with Matlock Town officials to determine whether it would be possible to rearrange the fixture. A further announcement will be made in due course.
Anyone who shows symptoms of coronavirus – such as a high temperature, a new, continuous cough and a loss or change to their sense of smell or taste – should arrange to have a test as soon as possible. For more information, please refer to the NHS website here.
