New Spireites badges support local charity

New Spireites button badges are now available which will help raise awareness of a local charity.

A set of four badges are available from the Club Superstore, with a percentage of the proceeds going to CSALS.

CSALS (Community Save a Life Scheme) has been running for a number of years, promoting the need for more people with first aid skills and providing a free online course to facilitate that.

The organisation, which recently became a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, first linked up with the Spireites in 2016. That was when 1,795 people took part in a first aid lesson on the pitch, setting a Guinness World Record.

Commenting on the organisation’s latest association with the club, chair of CSALS, Dr Cheryle Berry MBE, said: “I’d like to thank Chesterfield FC for helping us in this way.

“We will be forever grateful to the club for allowing us to use the stadium for our world record achievement and it is great to link up again in this way.

“The need for more people with first aid skills is vitally important and we are doing everything we can to promote that message and provide suitable free training.”

The set of four 25mm badges, pinned to a card in a sealed bag, are on sale in the Club Superstore, priced at just £5. They are an ideal stocking filler and could help save a life!

The free online first aid course, provided by CSALS in partnership with Virtual College, takes around an hour to complete and can be accessed here.
