This is the shortest away trip of the season for the Blues, and both sets of fans always looks forward to this fixture throughout the season. Joe Rowley made his first start since May 2021 on Tuesday night against Altrincham, the midfielder will be hoping that he did enough to keep his place in the side on Saturday. 

Joe Quigley went off with what looked to be a back injury last time out, the striker will likely be assessed ahead of the fixture. 

Tom Denton has been suffering from an ankle injury over the past few weeks, the striker has now returned to training and will be looking to cement his place back in the side as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, defenders Tyrone Williams and Fraser Kerr have been out of the side in recent weeks, they will be looking to push their fellow team mates to regain their starting places.

On Notts County 

Notts County are undoubtably one of the biggest clubs in the non-league pyramid. The club are also one of the oldest clubs in world football, being founded in 1862. The Italian football club Juventus F.C. derived its famous black-and-white striped kits from Notts County.

The club have spent many years in the English Football League, winning many titles, including the FA Cup in 1894. Notts have endured years of success until recent years. On 4 May 2019 following a 3–1 defeat away at Swindon Town, Notts County were relegated from the English Football League for the first time in their 157-year history.

Notts County currently sit in 6tposition, this season they will be hoping to regain their Football League status, and gain promotion from the National League.

One to watch

Former Spireite, Joel Taylor, signed for Notts County from the Spireites in 2021. The left-wingback is renowned for his pace and trickery. The defender has made 19 appearances so far this campaign.
