The Spireites squad is getting thin on numbers, as the injury crisis continues. The gaffer will have some tough decisions to make ahead of the big fixture.

Jak McCourt will not feature after suffering a serious leg injury in the previous outing against Solihull Moors. Meanwhile, fellow midfielder Curtis Weston will also be out of action for the next three National League fixtures after picking up a red card on Saturday.

Akwasi Asante added to his goal tally on Saturday and the striker will be looking to keep his place in the starting XI.

Jeff King will also be missing for this fixture, as the defender completes his three-match ban, following his red card against Stockport County.

On Wrexham AFC

Wrexham are a historic football club, who spent several years in the English Football League, before being relegated to the National League in 2008, where they have been ever since. They have endured four unsuccessful play-off campaigns since being in the National League.

Wrexham’s home stadium, the Racecourse Ground, is the world’s oldest international football stadium that continues to host international games. In 1957, they played in front of over 34,000 spectators, when they played Manchester United at their home ground. Wrexham won the FA Trophy back in 2013, when they overcame Grimsby Town at Wembley Stadium.

They were famously taken over by Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds, and Rob McElhenney. This season Wrexham will be hoping to finally gain promotion back to the Football League.

One to watch

Ollie Palmer is one of a number of high-profile signings made by Wrexham this season. The 30-year-old striker had been a regular in League One with AFC Wimbledon before joining the Red Dragons and scoring the winner against Grimsby Town on his debut. The former Crawley Town and Leyton Orient man also had a spell at Field Mill earlier in his career. With Paul Mullin suspended, Palmer will be the visitors’ main goal threat.
