The Spireites came from a goal down to grab a deserved 3-1 win over East Midlands rivals Notts County.
Two goals from Laurence Maguire and a penalty from Akwasi Asante were enough to seal all three points.
Chesterfield men remain in second position in the table after this result.
Jim Kellermann had the first attempt of the game, striking the ball over the bar from the edge of the area.
Notts County had a chance in the 17th minute when Kyle Wootton headed the ball towards the Spireites goal, however Scott Loach easily saved.
Jamie Grimes headed the ball over the bar for the Spireites, following a wide free kick.
Notts County took the lead in the 40th minute when Elisha Sam cut onto his right foot just inside the box and curled the ball into the top corner.
Grimes came close to equalising for the Spireites when he glanced the ball towards the net from the front post. County keeper Vitezslav Jaros saved.
Callum Roberts cut in on his left foot for County and struck the ball towards the Spireites goal, Maguire blocked it with his head.
The Spireites went into half time a goal down.
Asante came close for the Spireites early in the second half, striking a loose ball inside the box, Jaros made good save.
Jeff King forced Jaros to make a good save with a curling effort from just outside the box.
The Spireites started the second half brightly, creating multiple chances and keeping County under sustained pressure.
The Spireites equalised in the 60th minute when the ball found Miller on the left-hand side, who crossed the ball to the back post, finding Maguire who headed home.
Saidou Khan tried his luck from range with a great strike, Jaros managed to tip the ball over the bar.
Joe Rowley forced a good save from Jaros in the County goal.
The Spireites took the lead in the 86th minute when Maguire poked the ball in during a goalmouth scramble for his second of the game, following a King corner.
Mandeville was brought down in the box and the referee pointed to the spot.
Asante stepped up in the 90th minute and slotted the ball into the bottom right corner, sending the keeper the wrong way.
Loach made an excellent save in added time from Kyle Cameron, following a set piece.
The Spireites will look to take the momentum from this result into this weekend’s home fixture vs Southend United.
