Throughout our first season back in the Football League, the club strived towards more of a digital-based ticketing structure, providing a more efficient and easier experience for the fans as well as the club.
NFC Digital Tickets (Apple/Google Wallet)
The club implemented NFC (Near Field Communication) digital tickets in partnership with ticketing provider Ticketmaster Sport and access control partner Fortress GB.
This system allows fans contactless entry into the SMH Group Stadium, bypassing printing and collections to improve the fan experience.
Fans who can’t access Apple/Google Wallet are still able to print out their via tickets, with assistance from the club if necessary.
At the play-off semi-final home leg against Walsall (sell-out), over 3,000 fans used NFC digital tickets.
From the 2025/26 campaign, supporters can choose to have their season tickets in their Apple/Google wallets.
Digital Away Ticketing
For the first time in the club’s history, tickets at four away matches were delivered in an all-digital format, meaning supporters could avoid picking up physical tickets from the ground, saving time and money.
Some club’s visiting North Derbyshire have also had the chance to deliver tickets digitally to their own supporters, a first for the SMH Group Stadium and a great success.
