Players and staff from the academy travelled up to Scotland at the weekend for a pre-season tour. Following an induction on Saturday, the games programme got underway on Sunday.
We will be highlighting certain games during the course of the tour, starting with an outstanding result against Hearts.

After two minutes, Wood opened the scoring for Chesterfield after superb work from Short.
In the ninth minutes, keeper Wallace protected Chesterfield’s lead with a penalty save.
Morgan (32) put the young Spireites further ahead after a well-worked short corner.
Hearts hit back, reducing the arreas in the 43rd minutes after a defensive error.
Pekin (62) restored Chesterfield’s two-goal lead with an outstanding individual goal.
Hearts hit back again to score in the 75th minute with a well-worked goal.
The Young Spireites held on for a memorable win in Edinburgh.
