“All our focus is on the game”

Assistant manager Danny Webb spoke with the media ahead of Saturday’s fixture against Boreham Wood, live on TNT Sports.

He began by reflecting on Wednesday’s disappointing 4-2 loss at FC Halifax Town, saying “We have to move on from it but we also have to learn from it.

“It wasn’t our day; we didn’t play how we know we can. I thought we were much improved in the second half but we left ourselves with too much to do.

“We’ll look back at it, learn from it and try our best to put it right against Boreham Wood on Saturday.

“The fans on Wednesday were magnificent; we thank them for all their fantastic support.”

Webb then previewed Saturday’s game. “We know what Boreham Wood bring,” he said.

“It’s certainly not going to be easy. They won’t just roll over and let us win the title; they’ll be coming here to spoil the party.

“They have threats all over the pitch but we’ll focus on ourselves more than anything.

“If we play how we know we can then we’ll get three points but we have to be at it.

“We can’t hide from it; we know what’s at stake and we know what could be but all focus has to be on the game and how we can win. It’s all focus on that; nothing else.”

Finally, he gave a snippet of team news and touched on the fantastic support.

He said: “Will Grigg is a doubt as were getting his scan results back today.

“He just felt his hamstring, we won’t risk any further injury with him so let’s wait and see.

“Ryan Colclough and Tyrone Williams will be assessed ahead of the game.

“The same with everyone else really, we’re at that stage now where legs are tiring so it’s important to ensure we keep on top of it.

“The supporters have been fantastic this season and a sell-out tomorrow doesn’t come as a surprise anymore.

“We want them right behind us from kick-off and make it a carnival atmosphere.

“We know what could be and the supporters getting right behind us will help us achieve that.

“It’s one final push, together. We thank them for their fantastic support.”
