Away Day Guide: FC Halifax Town (a)

Supporters’ Forum Member Luke Searston provides the Away Day Guide ahead of tonight’s game…

FC Halifax Town

What kit will we be in?

The lads will be in the orange away strip for this game.

Ticket information:

It is pay on the day only for away supporters. Prices are £21 adults, concessions £18, 17 and under £9, 12 and under £4. It is also CASH ONLY at the turnstiles.

True Blue Travel:

True Blue Travel spaces have sold out for this fixture. Coaches will depart at 4.30pm from the usual place (the HUB).

How do I get to the ground?

The address for the ground is FC Halifax Town, The Shay Stadium, Shaw Hill, Halifax HX1 2YT.

Parking information:

There is a car park at the stadium for a small fee and the local streets are also usually available for matchday parking too. Failing that, there are numerous car parks in the town centre. Or use the YourParkingSpace to see other options.

Which stand will we be in?

Chesterfield supporters will have the option of either seating in the Skircoat Stand on one side of the ground or the North Stand terrace behind the goal. Away supporters will enter the ground via the turnstiles on Hunger Hill.

Travelling by rail:

Halifax Railway Station is only five-minute walk away from the Shay Stadium. The station is on the Trans Pennine route between Leeds & Manchester.

Pubs for away fans:

Around a five-minute walk from the stadium is the Three Pigeons pub on Sun Fold Road. Otherwise, the Shay Stadium is within an easy walking distance of the town centre where there are plenty of pubs to be found.

Food and drink:

Once inside the ground, the usual offering of burgers and chips etc will be available from a mobile catering van, along with hot and cold drinks. Alcohol has been available on all recent previous visits to Halifax and presumably it will be available again this time round.

Can I get a programme?

Programmes will be available, priced at £3.
