Away supporter information: Notts County (A)

As well as the usual away supporters’ guide, Notts County have shared key information for our supporters attending Friday’s play-off semi-final at Meadow Lane (kick-off 8pm).

With all tickets sold out, the stadium and its surrounding areas will be very busy. Supporters are therefore asked to familiarise themselves with the below guidance to ensure their matchday runs as smoothly as possible.

Bag policy

For safety and security reasons, no bags larger than small handbags will be permitted inside the stadium. Medical bags are exempt.

Smoke bombs and pyrotechnics

Being in possession of a pyrotechnic device is a criminal offence – you will be arrested, you will be prosecuted and you may receive a court ban preventing you from attending any football match.

Anyone reported to the club as being in possession of such a device will receive a club ban.

The message is simple – pyrotechnics put people at risk and are not welcome in stadia.

Please arrive as early as possible

· All areas of the stadium will be very busy, so queues are likely close to kick-off

· Turnstiles open at 6.30pm ahead of an 8pm kick-off, with food and drink available in all concourses

Accessing the stadium and finding your seat

· Our supporters will be based in the Jimmy Sirrel Stand, accessed from County Road

· Check your ticket for the turnstile number and use the correct one for entry, ensuring you have your barcode ready to scan

· Out of respect to your fellow supporters, sit in the seat clearly marked on your ticket. Stewards will be on hand to help you find it should you need assistance

· Retain your ticket for the duration of the match

· Should your ticket not scan at the turnstile, please visit the ticket office where our staff will be happy to help

The pitch is for players, the stands for spectators

We are fully supportive of the game-wide message that the pitch is for players and the stands for spectators.

It’s against the law to enter the pitch at any time and recent pitch invasions have brought football bans, police prosecution and criminal records – which can impact employment, education and international travel.

Entering the pitch could also result in penalties for the club – so fans are urged to remain in their seat at full-time.

Post-match road closure

· To assist with the safe dispersal of supporters, temporary post-match road closures will be in place in the vicinity of the stadium

There is some street parking away from the ground but check signage before parking up.

The Industry near the train station will also be welcoming away fans; this opens at 12pm.

Inside the ground, there is the usual offering of burgers, pies etc along with hot & cold drinks. Alcohol will also be available. Meadow Lane is a cashless venue.
