Lee Bonis has been named the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month for December.
It is the second accolade the forward has picked up after his four goals in six games saw him recently named the PFA League Two Player of the Month for December.
Bonis said: “It feels great to have your performances recognised, particularly with the strength of the other nominees. We picked up some good results in December and I’m just happy that I was able to contribute to the team’s form.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time playing here so far and I’ve been happy with my form as we’ve built into the season. We’ve got a lot of attacking quality in the building and it’s healthy competition every day in training.
“We really felt the support of the fans in December and over the festive period – they made a big difference, especially on the road, and I’m looking forward to getting back out there on Saturday against Bromley.”
Bonis claimed the award ahead of Oldham Athletic striker Michael Mellon, Bromley’s Idris Odutayo and Benn Ward of Accrington Stanley.
