Following an impressive start to the season with an 11-0 victory against Anstey Nomads, the Spireites make the short trip to Shirebrook Town FC this evening (7.45pm) to face SJR Worksop.
Pete Jarvis will have a selection headache after so many fantastic performances in the opening day victory.
SJR Worksop will be strong opponents for the Spireites and will be buoyed following their opening day 2.1 victory versus league newcomers Loughborough Foxes.
SJR proved tough opponents last season, beating Chesterfield 3-2 in February following on from a 3-1 victory for Chesterfield earlier in the season.
Both games were fiercely competitive, and Jarvis will know of the threat posed by SJR, particularly through the 15 goals delivered by Millie Herbert-Clarke last season. Herbert-Clarke got off to a great start this season with a brace of goals in her first game.
Jarvis will be confident that his team can produce the goods that rewarded his side with three points – let’s hope that winning streak gets extended!
Admission to the game costs £3.50.
