The club was saddened to hear of the death of David May last weekend.
Known by many as ‘Dave in Football Heaven’ for his passionate appearances on BBC Radio Sheffield’s phone-in, he had been a fan for virtually all of his 79 years.
David arranged many away trips over the years and supplied many fellow fans with custom signs for their vehicles. He had commercial links with the club through his haulage business and for some years sponsored the Young Spireites Christmas Party.
Our thoughts are with David’s partner Sandra, son Mick, who brought him to recent matches, and all those who knew him.
