The Spireites have secured from points from their previous two away games, but manager Paul Cook is keen to focus on Saturday’s home game against Walsall.
Speaking to the media, he said: “The games come thick and fast for everyone no matter who you are and every team has similar issues.
“Whether it be traveling at the minute, whether it be injuries, suspensions, whatever it may be.
“The majority of the dice rolls for us all. So, whilst we’re always looking to learn from previous games, the most important game is the next one and for us it comes no tougher than Walsall on Saturday.”
Despite a 6-2 defeat in midweek at home to Fleetwood Town, Walsall have started the season strongly as they sit third in the table.
Cook is full of praise for the Saddlers and is expecting a good game at the SMH Group Stadium.
“We’re going into a game tomorrow against what I consider a team, a really good team.
“They’re a really good side and they’re very well coached. Mat Sadler doing a fantastic job.
“We’ll be playing against a team very, very well organised – very, very well coached. Like I say, square pegs in square holes, which is always good in football.
“They’ve got a style of play, they’ve certainly got a clear identity, and within that they’re good.
“They carry energy, they carry youthfulness, and they’ve got balance. I think it’ll be a really good League Two encounter and that’s what I enjoy.”
As Chesterfield head into their tenth game back in League Two, Cook gave his thoughts on the start to the campaign.
He said: “How have we assessed our start? It’s been okay. We’ve had a couple of highs in there and we’ve had a couple of lows.
“Probably our only real mishap was Port Vale away, where we were really disappointed and very, very unlike us.
“So, school report says certainly could do better, without a shadow of a doubt, but the signs are promising.
“Obviously everything’s new for us. Within that, we know we’ve got good players but it’s not good players who get success at football clubs, it’s good teams.”
