“It’s business as usual for us”

Assistant manager Danny Webb spoke with the media ahead of Saturday’s fixture at Oldham Athletic.

He began by previewing the highly anticipated fixture, saying: “There’s no doubt about it; games don’t come much bigger than this in this division.

“It’s going to be some atmosphere and we’re well aware of that. It’s two ex-Football League clubs going against each other, it certainly won’t feel like a typical National League game.

“We’re focusing on ourselves, that’s all we can do. It’s about us going there and showcasing what we’re about.

“We are just approaching it like any other game. It’s business as usual, we’re looking forward to the atmosphere but without doubt we’ll be switched on and approaching the game like normal.”

He thanked the fans for their support and asked them to enjoy their day.

“It’s a great one for the fans,” he said. “We know we’re taking a good number of supporters and we’re so thankful for them as always.

“It’s going to be a packed stadium and we’ll need them right behind us, making as much noise as possible.

“They always back us and I’m sure tomorrow will be no different. Hopefully it’s a great day for them; we hope they enjoy their day.”

Finally, Webb gave a snippet of team news.

He said: “We’re all good to go. The only person unavailable for tomorrow’s fixture is Miguel Freckleton.

“He’s travelling with the squad as he asked to come with us, which I think is great. However, he won’t be available for selection. Everyone else is okay; no injuries to report.”
