Pete Jarvis has been named as Chesterfield FC Women’s new senior team manager.
Jarvis, who had been interim manager of Chesterfield Ladies since January, said: “It’s great to be a part of Chesterfield FC and I’m really looking forward to the new season.
“There are some exciting opportunities at the club for the players and staff. We have a team at Tier 5 level, pushing for Tier 4 next season. We need to push on to give the club what it really deserves.”
Michelle Slater, head of women’s & girls’ development, said: “Pete’s passion for the club and its community made him a standout choice. Pete is a UEFA A licence holder and has a wealth of experience in the women’s game.
“We are excited about this new chapter, building a strong team, achieving success and an ambition to reach the next tier of the women’s football pyramid.”
Jarvis, who was previously at Nottingham Forest Women and Rotherham United Women, joins Chesterfield FC Women following the recent announcement of important changes to the structure of the organisation.
The Chesterfield Ladies Tier 5 and U23 Tier 7 teams will now become Chesterfield FC Women and Chesterfield FC Development Women respectively under the affiliation of Chesterfield FC.
