Jim Brown will be honoured for his loyal service to the club when the Spireites face Sheffield United on Saturday as part of his testimonial year.
Jim’s association with the Spireites goes back over 50 years, first joining the club from Scottish side Albion Rovers in December 1972.
His impressive form in goal captured the attention of Sheffield United and he moved to Bramall Lane during the 1973/74 season, winning a Scotland cap during his time there.
Jim left the Blades in 1979 and spent three years in America before re-joining Chesterfield in 1983. He was appointed as commercial manager three years later, combining the role with playing for a spell.
The popular Scot held his commercial position until last November. He continues to attend matches at the SMH Group Stadium in an ambassadorial role.
