KEY PLAYER
Cheltenham had a number of wide players who thoroughly enjoyed their first season in Gloucestershire last term, perhaps none more than Ethon Archer. After making the move from Torquay United last summer, the versatile midfielder adapted to the EFL with flying colours.
Last season in numbers:
Appearances – 53
Goals – 8
Assists – 6
Yellow Cards – 3
Red Cards – 0
Minutes Played – 4,347
PLAYED FOR BOTH
Jamie Grimes spent just one season with Cheltenham, joining on a free transfer from then-National League side Dover Athletic. The defender would captain the side on a few occasions throughout the year. He made 49 appearances and also scored three goals for the club.
After leaving Hereford in 2021, Grimes made the move to North Derbyshire. He quickly established himself as an important part of the squad and has captained the side over the last few years. The 34-year-old’s guidance helped Chesterfield to the National League title in 2024.
