Founded: 1992

Stadium: The EBB Stadium

On Aldershot

Aldershot Town were founded in 1992 after Aldershot were dissolved due to financial issues. The new club saw a rapid rise up the football leagues in the seasons following and promotion to the EFL was achieved in 2008. The Shots stayed in League Two for five years before suffering relegation back to the National League in 2013.

Aldershot have become a pillar of the fifth tier since, both competing towards the play-offs and staving off relegation. Despite a poor start this season, Ross McNeilly has revived the Shots and given them an outside chance of reaching the play-offs.

One to watch

Justin Amaluzor has been one of Aldershot Town’s standout players so far this season. Since Inih Effiong’s departure to Dagenham & Redbridge, the winger is the Shots’ current top goal scorer of players still at the club.

The former Motherwell, Maidstone United and Barnet man has scored eight goals throughout this campaign. Amaluzor scored in Aldershot’s most recent league win – a 2-0 home triumph against Dorking Wanderers.
