Popular former Spireite Craig Davies will be the special guest at a sporting dinner at the SMH Group Stadium next March.
Davies was the first player to score at the now SMH Group Stadium (then known as the b2net Stadium) when he netted in the 5-4 defeat against Derby County in a pre-season friendly in 2010. He finished top scorer in his only season at the club with 23 league goals as the Spireites won the League Two title under John Sheridan.
The event on Thursday, March 7, which is being staged to raise funds for the Chesterfield FC Junior & Youth Academy and Chesterfield FC Women, will see the former striker take part in a Q&A session. There will also be an opportunity for a photograph with him, which will be printed off on the night so that it can be signed personally.
Further entertainment will be provided by comedian Max Pressure and there will also be an auction of sporting memorabilia.
The cost of attending is just *£30, which includes pie & peas.
