First-team coach Gary Roberts believes that the fixture against Yeovil Town will be a challenging one after the draining victory over Southend United in midweek.
Speaking to the media, he said: “It will be a tough challenge especially with the Tuesday game. They’ve travelled and we’ve had a tough one at home. It’s always tough.
“It’s a long trip for us. They are a decent team who don’t score many goals, but they don’t concede many.
“I saw them against Wrexham, and they did really well. We’ll go through them again today.
“There are not many easy games in this division. They’ll have the threat. We’ll stick to our habits and principles. We’ll concentrate on ourselves and be looking to win the game again.”
Ollie Banks was sent off on the stroke of half time during Tuesday’s game and Roberts has said that the club have appealed the decision.
Roberts said: “We have [appealed] it. We believe the tackle wasn’t out of control. The two feet were not off the ground.
“We have seen it from multiple angles and Ollie isn’t that type of player. We’ve appealed it and we’ll try and get him back for Saturday. Fingers crossed because he’s playing really well.”
The 3-2 win over Southend was a big three points in the eyes of many of the 6,000+ inside the Technique Stadium.
Roberts believes that the result has added extra confidence to a team that was already brimming with belief, saying: “They were in a good place already but that was a big win.
“Mentally it will take a little bit out of them and physically with the ground they covered.
“Confidence is a big thing. The hardest thing to get and the easiest thing to lose. That will have done a little bit more for their confidence.”
