Chesterfield FC Women are delighted to announce that See-Tech will continue as the club’s primary sponsor for the 2026/27 season, extending a partnership that has grown alongside the Spireites’ rise in recent years. The renewed agreement sees the local business continue its support as the club prepares for its first campaign in the FA Women’s National League.
See-Tech is a leading manufacturer and installer of low-voltage (LV) switchgear, delivering electrical infrastructure solutions for hospitals, schools, residential developments and data centres across the UK. Following a decade of sustained growth, the company recently relocated to a new 22,000-square-foot headquarters and completed a full rebrand after Liam Marshall became sole owner of the business.
For Marshall, the decision to renew was a straightforward one. He has witnessed first-hand the progress made on and off the pitch, while his daughter, Sophie, has also been an important part of the first-team squad throughout that journey.
“I have loved being involved in the project,” Marshall said. “I’ve seen the whole journey over the last five years and it’s been brilliant to watch. Obviously, Sophie plays here, we’re Chesterfield supporters and I’ve got a real passion for football and for the women’s game.”
“I find the development of the women’s game really interesting, not just from a football perspective but from the business side as well. For me, it’s about continuing to be involved because I genuinely enjoy being part of what’s happening at the club.”
Reflecting on the company’s recent progress, he said: “It’s been a great six months for us. We’ve moved into a fantastic new facility, we’ve completed a full rebrand and we’ve got big plans for the future. It’s something I’m really proud of because it’s been years in the making.
“I started here as a 16-year-old while I was at college. I’ve worked my way through the business, from the shop floor to Managing Director, and now I own it. It’s gone full circle and that’s something I’m incredibly proud of.”
Community has always been central to See-Tech’s values, with the company supporting a number of grassroots sports clubs and community organisations across Derbyshire. Marshall believes investing in local sport is an opportunity to give something back while helping clubs continue to grow.
“We’ve been involved in local sports clubs for years because it’s something I’ve always believed in. We want to help where we can. Clubs need to raise money and attract support, so if we can play a part in that and give something back to the local community, that’s important to us.”
Having travelled home and away to follow the team throughout last season, Marshall believes the title-winning campaign was built on more than just ability.
“Not a lot changed, but I think the right things changed,” he said. “The coaching staff brought professionalism and integrity. Everyone knew where they stood and there was consistency throughout the squad. Those little things made the difference and took the team from being the bridesmaid to being the bride.”
Head of Women’s and Girls’ Football Michelle Slater welcomed the continuation of the partnership, describing Marshall’s support as ‘invaluable’ to the club’s continued development.
“Liam isn’t just sponsoring the Women’s team,” she said. “He’s passionate about Chesterfield FC Women, follows us home and away, always asks how things are going and is only ever a phone call away. His financial contribution is massive, but it’s the person behind it that makes such a difference. Hopefully, he’ll be here for a long time to come.”
