The U18s made it nine unbeaten in all competitions with a 4-2 win on the road against Bradford City earlier today.
Tom Pawson scored twice for the young Spireites, whilst Marcus McKernan and Gunner Elliott were also on the scoresheet.
McKernan threatened for the Spireites after 13 minutes as he looked to beat the keeper from just inside the box, but his right-footed effort was well blocked.
The Spireites took the lead seven minutes later when Pawson struck home from inside the box, finding a way past several defending bodies to beat the Bradford keeper.
The Bantams levelled from the spot four minutes later after their forward was brought down inside the box, gifting them an equaliser from ten yards.
The young Spireites regained their lead five minutes before the break when McKernan was played through on goal, slipping the ball past the keeper from close range.
Pawson got his second three minutes after the interval. After Will Pucci’s effort was well saved, Pawson was there to pounce on the loose ball and make it 3-1.
Bradford had an opportunity to equalise after 55 minutes, but Everest Wilcock was able to turn behind for a corner as the shot flew in from the left.
Bradford pulled one back after 65 minutes when the Chesterfield defence failed to deal with a low ball from the right, leaving Everest Wilcock with little hope as it was turned goalwards.
Pucci could have restored the two-goal advantage with a minute to go, but his stabbed effort went wide of the bottom right.
Substitute Elliott put the game to bed in the sixth minute of stoppage time when he was played through on goal, lobbing the onrushing goalkeeper to make it 4-2.
