Webb praises side’s belief

Assistant-manager Danny Webb praised the side’s belief after coming from a goal down to beat Scunthorpe United 4-1 at the Technique Stadium on New Year’s Day.

Webb said: “We got better as it went on. I think we started quite brightly, a bit disappointed that like at their place, we didn’t put it to bed a lot earlier.

“I think that there is a real belief now that when we do go a goal down, home or away, that we can come back with style.

“Even at 2-1, there were some nervy moments because yes, they are bottom, but they had a go.

“The importance of the subs really showed, the squad, with Jes, Tim and Kabs to not just get us over the line but get us over the line extremely comfortably.

“It becomes a less open game if you put away your chances a bit earlier but saying that some of the play to create those chances was really nice to watch, it was the same in the second half.”
