“We’re really looking forward to the game”

First-team coach Gary Roberts spoke to the media ahead of Saturday’s home clash with Swindon Town in Sky Bet League Two.
Beginning by looking at injuries, Roberts said: “Same as. We’ve come through Crewe unscathed and we’re no further on having anyone back.
“We’ll be pretty much the same as Crewe. They (the injured players) are getting close. They’re at that point now where we want them back with us, but they’re probably a couple of days short from where we want them to be.
“Hopefully (there will be) progress going into Doncaster.”
Giving his thoughts on Swindon Town as a team, he added: “I think when you go through all the data, they’re probably similar to us in every metric, with possession, with pressing and how they play.
“I think they’re a really good team with players on the pitch who can hurt you. Obviously you’ve got the leading goalscorer in the league in Aaron Drinan who we worked with at Ipswich, who’s a terrific player.
“They’ve got really good players in the team and they will be at the top end of the league. We’re really looking forward to the game, we’re looking forward to being back at our place, at home, where there’ll be a big crowd.
“Swindon will bring a good crowd and it’s all set for a good game.”
Former Spireite Darren Oldaker is set to feature for the Robins on Saturday afternoon, having played in all 17 league games so far after departing North Derbyshire in the summer.
“He’s such a good player,” Roberts said. “He’s playing in a different position for Swindon than he did here. He’s playing higher up and he’s such a technical footballer.
“Looking forward to seeing him. Hopefully he doesn’t play because he’s such a good player. I had some amazing memories with DJ. He’s a really big part of what we’ve done here. It was sad to see him leave but looking forward to seeing him and giving him a good hug on Saturday.”
