Chesterfield FC Women take on their Mansfield Town counterparts this afternoon in a Plate semi-final.
Looking ahead to the game, manager Andrea Parkinson said: “We’ll prepare like we do any other game to make sure we’re in the right frame of mind going into it.
“The fact it’s Mansfield does bring that ‘derby day’ feel to it. We are the underdogs going into the semi-final. Mansfield are a league above us so they’ll bring a different kind of edge to what Grimsby did, but we’ll plan and prepare as we do for any game.
“We are unbeaten in 2025 and we had been on the end of a lot of narrow defeats earlier in the season, so to turn that around has been really positive to see. I’ve got a little bit of an insight from different people, so we’ll set up to try and combat how they play.”
