“I think we just need to be more patient on the ball and start well“

After his Man of the Match performance against Port Vale at the weekend, Armando Dobra gave his thoughts going into tonight’s fixture against Bromley, saying: “We need to start well, not how we started against Port Vale. If we do that and we get on top early on, I think we will win the game.

“They’re a really good side and they’ve done well since they’ve been up. They’ve got a good manager, they’re defensively really good.

“They’re going to break on us if we lose the ball so we’ve got to be patient and create opportunities from wide areas. We’ve just got to be on our A-game and if we do, we can get a good result.

“I think we just need to be more patient on the ball and start well. If teams score first, they usually just sit back and then make it frustrating for us to break them down, so if we start well and score first then the game will be open for us to go and get a second or third.”

Speaking on his current form, he added: “I’m really confident in my ability and obviously it helps when you’ve got good players around you to help create opportunities for me and give me the ball.

“I’ve just got to keep my head down and hopefully I can carry on scoring and helping the team, assisting and hopefully that can turn into wins for us.”

Praising the support on Saturday, he said: “The fans are amazing. They support us through thick and thin and even when we were 1-0 down, they were supporting us and rallying for us to get a goal back and we did.”
