Peter Whiteley, the club’s heritage officer, is currently auctioning a number of football club pin badges on eBay. The badges are non-Chesterfield ones that have been donated to the club heritage archive.
Peter explained: “I am having pin badges produced for the Former Players’ Association so anyone who has played for the club can be awarded one. These auctions will hopefully cover the initial costs of the members’ badges.”
Players from Herbert Munday Football League player number 1 to Ash Palmer number 1193 will be awarded a members’ card based on their debut graphic as well as the badge. Where members are no longer with us, family members can request a badge.
