The Spireites travel down to the Broadfield Stadium to take on Crawley Town as they loom to continue their recent unbeaten run.
Chesterfield have won three and drawn twice in the last five games, occupying sixth place in League Two.
On the other hand, Crawley are without a win in four games having not scored since a 2-0 victory over Harrogate Town.
In the Spotlight
Ronan Darcy joined Crawley Town on loan from Wigan Athletic in January, after his loan spell with the Spireites ended.
The midfielder had previously played for the side from the Broadfield Stadium between 2023 and 2025 – winning the League Two play-offs in 2024.
So far this season he has made 38 appearances in all competitions and has scored three goals, all of which have come in the blue of Chesterfield.
The gaffer’s record
Paul Cook has a pretty good record against Crawley Town, only losing once in his 11 meetings with the side.
That defeat came in May 2012 when his Accrington Stanley side lost 1-0 at home to the Red Devils.
However, he has managed to amass six wins and three draws in the other nine fixtures.
Man in the middle
Paul Howard has previously refereed two fixtures involving Chesterfield, the last of which was the 1-0 victory at Shrewsbury Town in December.
The other game was back in the 2018/19 season when the Blues drew 0-0 at home to Havant & Waterlooville.
He has been the main official for 232 matches, shown 720 yellow cards, 26 red cards and awarded 61 penalties.
Kieron Dyer’s thoughts
““We’ve got to be on it. We’re going to have to have loads of energy. They try to dominate the ball. They have great patterns. They can be a threat.
“Obviously, we want to be brilliant with the ball to win the game, but we’ve got to be brilliant without the ball as well. They are very good at what they do, so we have to stop that and assert ourselves on the game.”
