John Pemberton says that he is happy with the progress being made by the team after a difficult start to the season due to the lack of pre-season matches.
In the pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s visit of Maidenhead United, the manager said: “I think we’re fine. It’s the games that count and they’re coming thick and fast.
“I don’t think we’re in a bad place as a group and we will get better. Every team we’ve played has been up there.”
Commenting on Maidenhead, Pemberton said: “They’re on the crest of a wave at the moment and full of confidence. They work really hard and they’re on the back of a really good run of form.
“They’re well organised and they’ve got Barratt, who’s scoring goals. They’re a good, honest team who work hard. You’ve got to the do the basics right at every level and they do that very well.”
Pemberton revealed that Nathan Tyson has been ruled-out of Saturday’s game while Josef Yarney serves the last match of a three-match ban.
