Chesterfield FC and Chesterfield FC Community Trust are saddened to hear of the passing of lifelong fan Graham Mountain.
Graham, 81, had been a season ticket holder at the Spireites since being 15 years old, with his wife Heather coming to games too. The couple were looking forward to sharing their 60th wedding anniversary later this month.
After seeing the Trust’s World Book Day project earlier this month, Graham’s granddaughter Victoria got in touch and the Trust were able to arrange a number of old programmes to be taken to Graham to read. Victoria said he was really happy to have received the programmes; pictured is his great-granddaughter delivering them to him.
Graham was delighted with Chesterfield’s win against Yeovil, which “put a smile on his face”. He sadly passed away last Tuesday morning.
The thoughts of everyone at Chesterfield FC and the Trust are with Graham’s family and friends at this difficult time.
