Webb praises work-rate

Spireites assistant-manager Danny Webb praised the side’s work-rate following an impressive 2-0 home victory over Solihull Moors at the Technique Stadium.

Joe Quigley put the Spireites into the lead in the 15th minute after heading the ball home, following a wide free=kick from Jeff King.

Bailey Clements added a second goal in the 73rd minute. Ryan Boot made a good save, following a shot from Armando Dobra and Clements poked the rebound into the back of the net.

Webb said: “An excellent result yeah and they are a good side. I think up until the goal they had a bright start, and we were sloppy with one or two things until we scored.

“Once we got that first goal, I think that we were in control. That doesn’t mean you can switch off. I think Mike Jones made a tremendous tackle at 1-0.

“There was a lot of heroes out there that made sure we had those three points in the bag come the 93rd minute.

“When we did make those mistakes early on, I was really pleased with the reaction of the other lads to dig in and put in some last-ditch tackles.”
