Danny Webb believes that Bromley will not be distracted by their upcoming Wembley final when the Spireites travel to Hayes Lane on Saturday.
Speaking to the media, he said: “It’ll be a very tough game. I’m sure Andy [Woodman] will be disappointed that they are not in that top seven.
“They’ve got a big Wembley trip to look forward to but don’t think for a minute that they will be distracted by that.
“Andy and his staff are all ex successful professional footballers; they know how the game works and they won’t let their players lose focus.
“They tend to raise their game against us and rightly so because we are up there. They are a physical team with some very good players. If we are not on it, you get beat. So, it’s about us being focused and being ready for the fight.”
Chesterfield have recently had a few new injury problems with Gavin Gunning, Joe Quigley and Akwasi Asante all picking up knocks in the last two games.
Webb revealed that the squad will be down to the bare bones on Saturday, but a couple of players could be in line for a return against Stockport.
Webb said: “There are a few things unfortunately that we need to check on today. We’re going down tomorrow with the team and the subs and that’s about it.
“There are a few lads that probably will be out, but we will know more after training. The ones who you don’t see on the squad list tomorrow, there’s still a chance that they will be involved for Stockport.”
The Spireites have to deal with two games in three days with a chance to secure a play-off spot and Webb knows that the players will make the best out of a tough situation.
“It’s not an ideal situation,” he said. “There’s been a lot of not ideal situations for a long time now. We have to make sure that whatever the situation is, we put a positive spin on it.
“Whoever goes out onto the pitch needs to know the gameplan, knows how the manager wants to play and get those three points.”
