National Windscreens extend 1866 Sport match commentary

Match commentary on 1866 Sport, the club’s in-house radio station, will continue to be sponsored this season by National Windscreens.

After a two-year extension to the agreement was signed, Stuart Pearson, a director of National Windscreens, said: “We’ve done a lot of sponsorship over the years, and we want to do anything we can to support the club.

“The link-up with 1866 Sport is a great way of getting our name out there. Everything is looking good and hopefully the Spireites can win promotion this season!”

Bridget Ball, Chesterfield’s marketing manager, said : “We greatly appreciate the support provided by National Windscreens over many years and look forward to our mutually beneficial relationship continuing.

“Thousands of people listen to every commentary, providing National Windscreens and our other sponsors and advertisers with a great platform to raise awareness of their brand.”

The build-up to Saturday’s opening game of the season, at home to Dorking Wanderers, begins with the launch of View from the Kop, hosted by Jon Chubb, from 10am to 2pm.

Phil Tooley takes over at 2pm, with the first hour featuring a series of interviews. He will be joined by Spireites legend Dave Waller for full match commentary, followed by exclusive post-match reaction after the final whistle.

1866 Sport is the only radio station providing full coverage of every Chesterfield match, home and away!
