Away Guide: Tranmere Rovers

Supporters’ Forum member Luke Searston provides the following guide…

What kit will we be in?

The lads will be in all-blue.

Ticket information:

Tickets are available to purchase here:

https://www.trfctickets.co.uk/match-tickets/event/3750cc38-6dd0-4e54-bf1c-817d71a70930/seat-map (purchase in the cowshed end behind the goal)

Tickets can be bought on the day from the ticket office at Prenton Park. There will be a £2 increase per category for tickets purchased on the day.

True Blue Travel:

True Blue Travel has sold-out. Coaches depart from the usual spot (the HUB) at 9am.

How do I get to the ground?

Postcode is CH42 9PY. Exit the M53 junction 4 onto the B5151 from the fourth exit of the roundabout. The ground is signposted from here. After two and a half miles, Mount Road leads onto Storeton Road – turn right at the traffic lights near the church onto Prenton Road West. The ground is further down on the right. Remember, it’s the Grand National in Liverpool and Everton are at home (12.30 KO), so allow enough time in case there is extra traffic.

Car parking information:

Parking at the ground was available for £6 but now seems to be fully booked. There is street parking but just be mindful of resident restrictions and road closures an hour before KO and 30 minutes after the end of the game. The Mersey Clipper pub next door does have a small car park but will get full very early on.

Which stand are we in?

We will be in the Cowshed end, which is an all-seater stand at one end of the ground.

Pubs for away fans:

The Mersey Clipper welcomes away fans. Prenton Park and Halfway House are also an option and there is a fanzone in the main car park of the ground.

Public transport information:

Both Birkenhead Central and Rock Ferry station are around a mile away from the ground.

Food and drink in the ground:

The usual offering of burgers and pies amongst other things are available inside the ground, along with hot & cold drinks. Alcohol is also available in the away end. It appears both cash and card are accepted.

Flag policy:

All flags must have a safety certificate. Stewards will advise where to place flags once inside the ground.

Can I get a programme?

Programmes will be available, priced at £3.50.
