James Rowe has moved to further bolster his squad by securing defender Alex Whittle on an 18-month contract.
Whittle, who is a 27-year-old left-back, was a free agent after leaving Gloucester City.
Rowe is delighted to be linking up with the player again. He said: “Once I knew of Alex’s availability, we moved quickly to secure his signature.
“It is important to build for the future and not just the short term. Alex has great energy and his strong character will fit in well in the changing room.”
Whittle was with Liverpool as a youngster, spending 11 years at Anfield. He played in Scotland with Dunfermline Athletic and then played for the likes of AFC Fylde, Southport, York City and Forest Green Rovers before joining Gloucester from Boston United last August.
