PLAYED FOR BOTH

Grant Smith joined Chesterfield in January 2021, around three months after leaving then-fellow National League club Wealdstone. Despite his stay in North Derbyshire not being a long one, the goalkeeper continuously put in some impressive performance to help the Blues to the play-offs. He left the club at the end of the 2020/21 season.

In 2023, Smith left Yeovil Town following the expiry of his contract to join Bromley. The 31-year-old quickly became a fan favourite for Andy Woodman’s side. He saved two penalties in Bromley’s National League play-off final victory against Solihull Moors and impressed afterwards on his return to the EFL.
