On Richard Hill
Richard Hill is in his third spell as Eastleigh manager, having taken over from Lee Bradbury in August 2023. His first stint with the club saw him take the Spitfires up to the National League having won the Conference South title. Hill knows the club inside and out and has enjoyed some early success in his third spell. So far, the 60-year-old has transformed Eastleigh into play-off contenders.
One to watch
Since joining Eastleigh in May 2023, Paul McCallum has shown exactly why he is one of the best strikers in the National League. The former Spireites loanee has found his stride once more, averaging almost a goal a game at the Silverlake Stadium. His power and finishing ability makes him a scourge to most fifth-tier defences.

Played for both
Bailey Clements joined Chesterfield in the summer of 2022 after leaving his boyhood club Ipswich Town. The left-back impressed when he was called upon for Paul Cook’s side, even popping up with a couple of goals. He ended his debut season in Derbyshire playing the full 120 minutes in the play-off final at Wembley Stadium against Notts County.
Unfortunately, an injury kept Clements out of the squad for the first part of this season and he was sent out on loan to Eastleigh. He has played nine times for the Spitfires as they continue to turn their form around.
View from the dugout
Danny Webb said: “They’re a strong, physical side but most of all they can play some good football. It’s a tough test for us.
“We need the supporters behind us as usual to help us try to get three points.”
