The Spireites secured a 3-2 win against Eastleigh at the SMH Group Stadium.
Second-half goals from Will Grigg and a brace from Ollie Banks meant that the Spireites won all three points.
Ryan Colclough forced a fantastic save from Joe McDonnell. Colclough shot from just outside the box, aiming for the top corner, forcing the keeper to tip the ball onto the post.
Eastleigh had a great chance to take the lead when an unmarked Jayden Harris headed towards goal, following a corner, but his attempt went over the bar.
The Spireites came close again when Darren Oldaker shot through a crowded penalty area from the edge of the box, but his strike went narrowly wide.
The Spireites had a flurry of chances at the end of the second half, with Mandeville’s deflected effort bouncing back off the bar, Ollie Banks followed up with a shot, but his effort went wide.
The Spireites went into halftime with the score tied at 0-0.
The Spireites took the lead in the 52nd minute, Oldaker played a great ball across the box to Mandeville, who pulled the ball back to Grigg in the six-yard box for an easy tap-in.
Banks doubled the Spireite’s lead in the 56th minute, courtesy of a swift counterattack. Banks latched onto a ball from Dobra and drove into the box from the left-hand side and curled the ball into the top right corner.
Harry Tyrer made a great save at his near post, following a shot from Aiden Barlow.
Grigg came agonisingly close to making it three for the Spireites after latching onto a loose ball, but his shot hit the bar.
Tyrer once again made a fantastic save, this time from Scott Quigley’s close-range shot at the back post.
Following Tyrer’s save, the Spireites went straight up the other end and made it three, with Banks getting his second, in the 68th minute. The Spireites broke forward, Dobra played in banks, who had acres of space to calmly slot the ball in.
Eastleigh pulled one back in the 75th minute. A cross was put in from the right-hand side and Paul McCallum had a free header around six yards out, that he converted.
Eastleigh pulled another goal back in the 81st minute. Quigley’s shot from the edge of the box trickled its way past the Spireites’ defence and into the bottom corner.
Attention will now turn to next Saturday’s FA Cup second-round fixture against Leyton Orient at the SMH Group Stadium.
