The Spireites fell to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Sheffield United at the SMH Group Stadium in their fourth pre-season fixture.
It was a tentative start from both sides, with neither creating any clear-cut chances in the opening 15 minutes.
The Blades had a penalty appeal waved away by the referee in the first half when Will Osula was brought down in the box.
Harry Tyrer made a fantastic save to keep the score at 0-0 after Osula tried his luck from inside the box.
Joe Quigley tried his luck from range, but his effort was easily saved by Wes Foderingham in goal.
The Blades came close to taking the lead late in the second half when Osula found himself through on goal, but his effort hit the side netting.
The Spireites went into half time with the score 0-0.
The Blades took the lead in the 51st minute. Iliman Ndiayefound himself one on one with Tyrer, he rounded the Spireites keeper and scored.
Leon Osborn doubled the blades lead in the 60th minute. Ollie McBurnie was running towards goal and squared the ball to Osborn who had an easy tap in.
McBurnie nearly added another for the Blades with a great header, that forced a great save from Tyrer, diving to his left.
Liam Mandeville came close with a shot from just outside the box, but his attempt went narrowly wide.
After this defeat, attention will now turn to next Wednesday’shome fixture against Derby County.
