The Spireites secured a dramatic 3-1 comeback win over Dagenham & Redbridge at the SMH Group Stadium.
After trailing at the break, second-half goals from Ryan Colclough, Ollie Banks and Will Grigg meant that the Spireites took away all three points.
Armando Dobra had a good chance after a delightful bit of interplay with Michael Jacobs, but his attempt was blocked.
Dagenham had a great chance to take the lead when the Spireites gave possession away in their own half, Ryan Hill found himself bearing down on goal but was denied by a good save from Harry Tyrer.
Once again, Dagenham had a great chance, this time through Josh Rees, the ball was pulled back to him inside the box, but his attempt was sliced wide.
Dagenham took the lead in the 40th minute. Rees latched onto a cross from the left-hand side and knocked the ball past Tyrer.
The Spireites went into half time trailing 1-0.
Dagenham went down to ten men in the 69th minute of the game when Harry Phipps dragged down Grigg on the edge of the area.
Colclough equalised for the Spireites from the resulting freekick in the 72nd minute. Colclough’s free-kick from the left-hand side flew into the top left corner.
The referee pointed to the stop in the 90th minute when James Berry was pushed over inside the box.
In the 91st minute, Grigg stepped up and calmly slotted the ball into the bottom right-hand corner, sending Elliot Justham the wrong way.
Banks forced a good save from Justham with a long-range attempt.
Banks once again tried his luck from range in the 97th minute, this time his shot slipped through the legs of Justham and hitting the back of the net.
Attention will now turn to next Saturday’s away trip to Ebbsfleet United.
