Strike action affecting East Midlands Rail services this weekend

Thos travelling to Wembley this weekend should note that strike action will affect East Midlands Rail services on Friday and Saturday.

If you are planning to travel during this time, it is important to check your journey as we will be operating a significantly reduced/no services on strike days.

On Saturday, May 13, EMR will be operating a significantly reduced service. Only travel by rail if absolutely necessary and if you do travel, expect severe disruption. You are advised to check the days in between strike action as trains are subject to short notice alterations and cancellations.

EMR strongly advise you to check when the time of the last train is before setting off and understand how the strike action affects your whole journey.

A statement from EMR says: “Please do not travel by train if you are attending the Nottingham Forest v Chelsea football match or the Notts County v Chesterfield National League final as you will not be able to return home on the same day.

“The last direct train from London St Pancras to Chesterfield departs at 1532 and the last train to Nottingham departs at 1605.”

Strike action will affect other routes across the country with very limited services running on the rail network. Please ensure you check your full journey before travelling.
