Job Role: Volunteer Scouts for Chesterfield FC Academy
Location: Derbyshire, Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Midlands,

Reporting to:
Academy head of recruitment
Main role:
To assist and support the head of recruitment in the identification and assessment of football players for the academy.
Responsibilities:
· To work alongside the head of recruitment to identify appropriate players for the U16s to U23s age groups.
· To attend matches allocated by the head of recruitment, feeding back players identified on the internal academy platform.
· Create a dynamic list of players identified for the U16s-U23s age groups within the academy’s KPI’s
· View a range of teams and players within the grassroots game to assess ability level, highlighting any players of potential academy standard.
· To report activity on a two-weekly basis to the head of academy recruitment through regular submission of activity reports.
· To attend multiple tournaments and festivals during off-season as a means of continued recruitment.
· Contribute to the development of the Recruitment department.
· Be part of a multi-disciplinary team that works collaboratively to support the development of young people.
· To attend first-team games where invited, for continuous professional development.
· To promote the various levels of the Chesterfield FC FC academy player pathway, and recruit players suitable for suitable level.
Qualifications
· Level 1 Talent ID – Essential
· Level 2 Talent ID – Desirable / Working Towards
· Minimum of one-year experience in a professional sport, preferably within football. – Desirable
· Excellent understanding of Scouting Protocol and Processes. – Essential
· Flexible approach to working hours.
· To follow club policies and procedures to ensure safeguarding of all within the academy.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Good understanding of Excel and Power Point

· Dynamic, enthusiastic, and ambitious individual.
· Proactive decision maker who maintains high standards.
· Committed to achieving the agreed objectives of the department.
· Flexible and willingness to learn and develop.
Applicants will need to have a flexible approach to work and be able to work evenings, weekends and match days as required.
You will require a full, valid UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle.
Valid FA Safeguarding Children Certificate
Due to this post being in regulated activity, the potential employee will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at the appropriate level.
